I have taken part in various programs up until now but recently I have started to decide on my appearance based on two things. That is if I am going to give laughs or meaning to the viewers. Of course, it would be thebest to satisfy both. I¡¯d like to participate in all kinds of programs that want my appearance but since there has been little difficulties in my health, I am currently appearing in just two programs, ¡®On Sunday Night¡¯ and ¡®Imaginary Expedition¡¯ on MBC.

It¡¯s not that I have been especially devoted to social services or neighborly love but have been just thinking about ¡®social services¡¯ in my heart. I¡¯m sure many people hold such a thought in themselves as well. Then, I have put such a thought into practice through TV programs. I have learned how to carry out social services through the programs.

There was a woman named ¡®Jaya¡¯ who had come with her husband from Mongolia but her husband passed away while working in Korea. However, she stood firm against her misfortune and our program arranged for her to meet her young children in Mongolia. Her two children were in 2nd and 4th grade in elementary school at the time but the younger child felt somewhat awkward because she had not known her mother¡¯s face. Jaya came to Korea right after giving birth to her second child. How painful it was when they met because Jaya had left her infant child. Such meeting was most heartbreaking.

Such words are too extravagant. Starvation and calamities, although expressed differently, still exist even in Korea. I think these difficulties occurring around the world are misfortunes that could happen not only to others but also to anyone regardless of nationality. The disaster of the ¡®tsunami¡¯ that occurred in the South Asia in the beginning of the year and the monstrous flood that occurred two years consecutively in Gangwon Province of Korea are both heartbreaking events. I just think people themselves must become even stronger when they encounter such circumstances.

I think there is no ¡®status¡¯ between people. However, status of living may change in accordance with one¡¯s effort. Starvation and poverty from the differences in the status of living can be overcome with help from others. Such a case requires sharing and social services. However, the method of sharing and social service I think is somewhat different. I have visited many places in the world through TV programs and have concluded that what must be provided to such needy people are fundamental education and mental support, even if what they need at the time is financial support. Therefore, I want to contribute by providing this educational and mental support to these people.

I have stated this above but material support andaid end when these dry up. Their attitude and effort to stand strong on their own based on such support are important. I think that¡¯s the power of education. Wouldn¡¯t a human society in which everyone lives together in harmony be built when there is no shortage of support or educational aid?

I want to make a lot of money to spend on good deeds. Especially, I want to build institutions for infants or elders. I hope to have a much bigger ¡®sharing heart¡¯ for others than now. I should try harder to accomplish this, right?

Isn¡¯t it a debt that is not redeemable? Volunteering oneself is not a deed that is practiced to receive something in return. And, it could be a ¡®debt¡¯ from another¡¯spoint of view. It is being indebted to someone by either receiving material or mental help. Of course, volunteers don¡¯t think that way but¡¦I think it is a debt that cannot be redeemed or desired but carefree even if it is not redeemable.
