Korea-Afghanistan Vocational Training Center in Kabul
This project aims to increase employment opportunities and support industrial development of Afghanistan by constructing a modern vocational training center
From 2002 to 2005, US$ 12,361,905 has been assigned for this project and necessary equipment, machines, and teaching materials have also been provided.
From 2006 to current , support for maintenance and operation has been continued.
Gaduated around 700 trainee yearly
Establishment of IT Training Center at Kabul Polytechnic University in Kabul
This center was established from 2004 to 2007 with a budget of approximately US$ 2,330,520.58 to train IT human resources at Kabul Polytechnic University.
Establishment of Computer Training Center in Kabul
This center was established from 2003 to 2006 with a budget of approximately US$ 1,240,716.47 to improve the administrative capacity of Afghan officials in the IT field with partnership of Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission (IARCSC) and each year more than 1,000 Afghan officials receive training at this center.
Renovation and Expansion of the Ibnisina Hospital in Kabul
From 2002 to 2005, a new ward, the emergency and the chest ward was renovated at the Ibnisina Hospital, with a budget of US$ 3,839,250.83 and medical supplies and equipment were provided for the hospital as well.

Establishment of Afghanistan Civil Service Institute in Kabul
This institute constructed from 2004 to 2006 with a budget of approximately US$ 5,681,251.19.
The objective of this institute is to improve the administrative capacity of the Afghan civil servants
Infrastructure
The Istalif Micro-Hydro Power Plant in Parwan
This project was carried out from 2004 to 2006 with a budget of US$ 3,516,110.51
It generates 200 kw of electricity for 620 families living in a nearby village.
Rural Development (community based)
Community – based Rural Development Project in Kabul &Parwan
From 2003 to 2005, 14 schools and 8 health centers were built outskirts of Kabul, and 3 schools in parwan province with a budget of US$ 4,987,971.58
Human Resources Development
Invitation of Trainees
From 2002 to 2018, KOICA has invited approximately 1,939 Afghan officials for training in the fields of economics, public administration, agriculture, health and IT and to improve the administrative capacity of Afghanistan
Dispatch of Experts
From 2002 to 2006, 15 experts were dispatched to Afghanistan in the fields of economic, public health, It policy, water supply and water quality management
Partnership with NGOs
Korea contributed US$1.5million through 36 partnerships with NGOs in the fields of refugee relief, education, health, community development, etc
