{Ceremony} Grant Awarding Ceremony of the Share Your CIAT Program
Grant Awarding Ceremony of the 2 Winning Projects within “Share Your CIAT Program” Action Plan Contest was held at the KOICA Azerbaijan Office on June 18, 2021.
The purpose of the Contest is to financially support the graduates of the KOICA Fellowship Programs to realize their activities aiming at contributing to socio-economic development of Azerbaijan and strengthen cooperation between KOICA and Fellows.
The Ceremony started by Presenting Awards to the Winners by Mr. Moon Jong Hyun, the KOICA Azerbaijan Office’s Country Director, Ms. Vafa Yagublu, President of the KOICA Alumni Association in Azerbaijan’s President and winner graduates.
In his opening remarks Mr. Moon thanked the winners for their project initiatives and interest in KOICA Programs. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between Korea and Azerbaijan, and mentioned that the KOICA training program alumni play a vital role in enhancing and strengthening the relations of both parties. He asked the winners to avail this excellent opportunity to contribute to the sustainable development Azerbaijan by applying the lessons learned in KOICA Training Programs.
Ms. Vafa Yagublu in her congratulatory speech noted that both projects proposed by the fellows are targeting to solve very crucial issues which is very urgent and in high demand these days. “I hope that both projects work out well for our community” she added.
The first winner of the Share Your CIAT Program Mr. Tural Abbasov, Lecturer of the Training Center of the State Tax Service highlighted that his “Tax Awareness of Entrepreneur Women” Project will educate women entrepreneurs in Qusar, Zaqatala, Gəncə, Sabirabad and Shamakhi regions on tax legislation point of view, assist them to understand their tax liabilities, as well as, teach how to prepare tax declarations through holding Training Programs.
The second winner Project “Digital Literacy on E-services” which was proposed by Chief Advisor of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations, Mr. Ilham Salmanov, aims to expand the coverage of e-services and increase awareness of the use of e-services in Ganja, Quba, Masally, Shamakhi regions through awareness-raising activities.
For information, the KOICA supports a variety of fellowship programs for Human Resource Development (HRD) in Azerbaijan, the ones mainly offered are Multi-Country Programs, Country-Specific Programs and Scholarship Programs. Approximately over 830 officials have participated in the KOICA HRD Programs up to date.
