KOICA offers five major types of Capacity Improvement and Advancement for Tomorrow (CIAT) Programs: 1. Country-specific Program: Policy and technical capacity building programs for a target country 2. Multi-country Program: Policy and technical capacity building programs for two or more partner countries 3. Special Training Program: Programs those are temporarily available owing to particular commitments of the Korean as well as partner governments. 4. Joint Program: Programs provided at the proposal of partner organizations or based upon mutual consultations between KOICA and partner organizations. 5. Scholarship Program: Programs that award a Master's degree to participants upon completion of training.
KOICA invites Government officials/experts of Bangladesh by sending Offer Letters for each Fellowship Program to Economic Relations Division (ERD). Only the ones nominated by their relevant organization/ministry officially channeled via ERD shall be finally selected by KOICA.
Only the participants who have not taken part in KOICA Fellowship program for the past 3 years may be selected. However, exceptions are made in accordance of the course criteria.
An amount of 22,000 Won per day (until the 30th day) and 17,600 Won per day (from 31st day) are provided during the training period. Moreover, an amount of 60,000 Won as sundry expenses is also provided on the next day of arrival in Korea.
Participants who have Official or Diplomatic Passports do not need to obtain Korean visa from Bangladesh but participants holding general passports are required to get the Korean visa from the Korean Embassy in Bangladesh before the pre-orientation ceremony.
Bangladesh government officials or experts who have participated under KOICA's Fellowship Programs are eligible to be KBAA members. To be a member, membership fee applicableto membership category is to be paid at KOICA Bangladesh Office.
All participants who have received training under KOICA are welcomed to register as a member during their pre-orientation ceremony or after their return from Korea. Trainees are required to make the membership fee payment at the reception desk of KOICA Bangladesh Office upon which money receipt shall be provided as a proof of registration.
There are two types of KBAA memberships whereby fees are applicable based on each mentioned category: 1. General Membership (For One Year): Membership fee is Taka 500 by registration which can be further renewed by re-registration. 2. Lifetime Membership (For Lifetime): Membership fee is Taka 5,000 by registration.
Officers who have taken part in KOICA’s fellowship programs in Korea are invited to attend various KBAA events and activities where they can interact with KOICA officials and other GoB officers and create closer ties.
