Under the aegis of KOICA and with the scientific contribution from NIFS a Seminar was held on May 2nd 2018 as part of DEEP project in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries – DGPA –

More than 60 persons gathered in the DGPA’s conference room to take part to a Seminar where Korean experts in Fisheries and Aquaculture shared their advanced know-how and invaluable lessons learned from Korea long and rich experience in the field.

The Seminar, kicked-off and gave an exhaustive overview of Korea experience in the fields of Fisheries and Aquaculture through scientific presentations about: National Aquatic Life Disease Control System (Dr.CHOI Jung Hwa) and Aquatic Animal Health, Past, Present and Future of Korean Aquaculture (Dr.JEON Imgi) and finally Korea Trap fishery (PARK Gwangje, General Director of SAMSIN Company for fisheries gears manufacture).

As part of the Seminar activities, KOICA Algeria office director, Mrs.LEE Yooli, delivered the final version of the Master Plan relating to Industrialization of the Algerian Fisheries and Aquaculture to Mr.HAMMOUCHE, bringing thus the DEEP project to a successful conclusion and laying the foundation to prosperous bilateral cooperation perspectives, as expressed by the General Director.
