The Embassy of the Republic of Korea, KOICA Office in Algeria and the Algeria Korea Alumni Club(AKAC) co-hosted the 2019 Knowledge Sharing Seminar under the theme of ‘Public Urban Policy and Transport’ on 4th November 2019. Korean speakers shared policy development in the field of urban planning policy including housing policy, public transportation for energy efficiency and smart city with graduate students, researchers and government officials in Algeria.

The seminar was attended by Mr. Lee Eun Yong, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Algeria; Mr. AREZKI, CEO of the Algiers Metro Entreprise; Mr. BOUZOURINE, professor of University of Science and Technology; officials of the Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities and Land Planning and the Ministry of Transport; and alumni who attended KOICA sponsored programs. Even though it was a first self activity of AKAC, the seminar was a great success and it was an ideal opportunity to show the excellence of Korea’s urban planning policy especially to the graduate students in the policy science.
