KOICA Ecuador Office commenced its operations in 2005 to assist Ecuadorian government's socio-economic development plan with Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation programs.

KOICA, in close coordination with the Korean Embassy, works as bilateral counterpart of the Ecuadorian Government, to assist the "PLAN Toda Una Vida", especially with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility, various ministries and public institutes, and the local municipal governments.


KOICA focuses in areas of governance, agriculture & rural development, health, education, energy, gender equality, water and climate change response in Ecuador. We implement Bilateral Development Projects, Strengthening of human talent program (scholarships), Dispatch of Experts and Volunteers, and support to Multilateral Organizations.

Welcome to KOICA Ecuador!

The goal of our office is to contribute with the development objectives of Ecuador, based on the "Plan Toda una vida", oriented towards an inclusive and equitable growth of the country.
Our work could not be carried out without the close collaboration we received from the Ecuadorian Government, from the implementing organizations and from our partners, whom we thank for their effort, which allows us to contribute to the growth of Ecuador.
In addition, I would like to thank to our Korean volunteers and experts and the local counterpart, with whom we form a great team and work in favor of more prosperous Ecuador.
KOICA Ecuador wants to expand its collaboration and contribution throughout the country as well as contribute to the strengthening of the bonds of friendship between the Republic of Ecuador and the Republic of Korea.

About KOICA

In 2008, KOICA opened her regional office in Abuja, covering Nigeria, Liberia and Sierra Leone. The office implements variousprojects in Governance, Education, Vocation, Agriculture, Human Resources, and emergency response.
