ECUADOR OFFICE

KOICA is currently administering the programs by stages of convocation and selection, education of the members, support of the activities, administration after the return to the country, etc.

The volunteers are sent according to the budget allocation of the government and the results of the demand made by the Administrative Office of KOICA in each counterpart country.

For its part, the administrative offices of KOICA supervise the mission of the Volunteer, to ensure that their professional practice responds effectively to the needs required by the host country and the Executing Unit, so that each Volunteer is assigned to work in communities where their personal security is guaranteed.

Ministries, Provincial, Municipal and Parochial Governments; Universities, Educational Institutions and Health Centers (public).

Areas of work

Computing and Computer Science, Systems Engineering, early childhood education, primary education, physical education, special education, Korean language, Taekwondo, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Art, Music, Agronomy, among others.

VOLUNTEER APPLICATION PROCESS

If it is in your interest to have a KOICA volunteer, attached please find the official volunteer application form. The same must be filled out completely and sent to our offices with an official letter of request addressed to our Director.

If the application has been approved the sending process can last around 6 months to a year until you can count on the volunteer in your institution; place where he will stay for a period of two years carrying out International Cooperation activities.

Expert

Con el objetivo de compartir el know-how y la experiencia de desarrollo de Corea, KOICA a través de su programa Korea World Friends “WFK” envía a Ecuador profesionales con varios años de experiencia bajo la modalidad de “expertos” quienes con el Patrocinio del Gobierno Coreano, brindan asesoría al Gobierno de Ecuador por un período que oscila entre 6 meses a 3 años; tiempo en el cual proveen apoyo para el desarrollo socioeconómico al igual que asesoría técnica y administrativa en áreas como   :

Salud, Educación, TIC´s Gobierno, Desarrollo Rural, Medio Ambiente, Industria y Energía, entre otros campos relacionados.

La convocatoria para solicitud de expertos se la realiza dos veces al año; así en los meses de Enero y Junio respectivamente se reciben las aplicaciones para las distintas instituciones públicas, mismas que son analizadas y enviadas a Corea para el proceso de selección que toma alrededor de 6 meses .

Actualmente contamos con 3 expertos coreanos en Ecuador quienes se encuentran brindando asesoría en instituciones como: MINEDUC, Prefectura de Loja, Pro Ecuador.
