[2023.3.22.] KOICA Egypt Office celebrates Ramadan
Ramadan Kareem! (Ramadan greeting meaning "generous Ramadan" in Arabic)
On March 22nd, the day before Ramadan, KOICA Egypt Office had a time to gather and celebrate the start of Ramadan.
Ramadan boxes were distributed to local staffs and a short session about Ramadan followed.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar and the holy month of fasting, of which prophet Mohammed received Quran from angel Gabriel.
During the month of Ramadan, Muslims won't eat or drink during the hours of daylight and this lasts for a month.
They also remember those who are less fortunate, practice gratitude and spend time with family and friends.
During Ramadan, KOICA Egypt Office will follow temporary office operating hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m., Sunday to Thursday.
