ㅇ A handover ceremony of the KOICA(Korea International Cooperation Agency)’s project of modernizing the conventional maps to digital maps was held in Maputo and was attended by members of the Government, the Ambassador of Korea, and other stakeholders.
- KOICA invested nearly $US 4.5 million to the project and dispatched dozens of Korean technicians to support the Mozambique government to make sustainable and integrated management of the existing natural resources and environment in the Zambezia valley.
- The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Land, Environment and Rural Development, Sheila Santana Afonso, added that such mapping information will allow better guidance on where and how to direct investments in the Zambezia region and maximize production and development.
