[Pakistan] Inauguration of Pakistan-Korea National Capacity Building Institute

Location: Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources(PCRWR) Headquarters, Islamabad

Overview:

ㅇ KOICA(Korea International Cooperation Agency) held an inaugural ceremony of Pakistan-Korea National Capacity Building Institute(NCBI) on October 25 at Islamabad, Pakistan. KOICA mobilized nearly $US3 million in funding for the newly constructed building. The Korean Government also provided training such as ‘Water Management in Barani Areas’ to the local professionals for serving the institute.

- A Minister of State, Mir Dostain Khan Domki, appreciated technical and financial assistance of Korea and appreciated the efforts of PCRWR for completing the project.

- A Chairman of PCRWR, Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, highlighted the importance of institute and its future plans for building capacity of water sector experts and appreciated the coordination of Korea in this regard.
