ㅇ A newly inaugurated president of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Mi-kyung Lee had a interview with The Korea Times.
- Lee accentuated “renovation” of the organization and said that it’s time to get back to basics to erect the principles and philosophy of implementing ODA projects.
- As specific goals, Lee put forward ODA to deliver peace, democracy, human rights and gender equality- which coincides with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Lee stated that KOICA should improve its expertise and transparency in discovering, conducting and examining ODA projects.
