Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) held an annual meeting for KOICA Alumni Association in Iraq (KAAI) on November 21, 2017 at Gilgamish Hall in Babylon Hotel, Baghdad. The Korean Embassy, KOICA Country Representative, Director General of the Internationla Cooperation Directorate of Ministry of Planning, Director Generals of other departments in the Iraqi ministries, etc participated in the event.
The event implies the importance of cooperation between the Iraqi Government and KOICA in rebuilding Iraq through various means: by dispatching the Iraqi employees to Korea through the Master’s Programs and Training courses in different fields, by transferring Korea’s past experiences and knowledge that led to success, etc. KOICA believes that Iraq can develop in a short period with support of the Korean government and KOICA.
The event also celebrated two victories of the Iraqi alumni association (KAAI) and of the Iraqi army that gained liberty and freedom from battles.
