KOICA Holds Entrance Ceremony for ‘World Friends KOICA Volunteers
(the 117th)’ and ‘Global Saemaul Youth Volunteers(the 4th)’
KOICA(Korea International Cooperation Agency) held the entrance ceremony for World Friends KOICA Volunteers(117th - Senior) and Global Saemaul Youth Volunteers(4th) on August 9. At the event, preliminary volunteers and director and staffs of the World Friends Seoul Education Center attended.
From August 9 to September 13, preliminary volunteers will receive tailored education suited to overseas volunteers including basic local language, theoretical education on safety and health, development cooperation issues, cultivation of service spirit, etc. After completing the training, they will be dispatched to 5 countries such as Laos, Rwanda, Myanmar, Ethiopia, and Paraguay.
The director of the World Friends Seoul Education Center, Yongryul Kim, delivered words of encouragement, ‘As talented volunteers representative of Korea, hope everyone harbors pride in oneself and deepens service spirit by diligently engaging in domestic education’.
