Dreaming Again of Serving Others among the World
- Starting Ceremony for 75World Friends KOICA Volunteers(117th) on September 29th
KOICA(Korea International Cooperation Agency), a government-funded agency in charge of providing grant aid programs, held a starting ceremony for the World Friends KOICA Volunteers(117th) at Yeongwol Education Center(Gangwon-do).
75 volunteers received education and training on basic local language, international development cooperation, disaster safety education, etc for last 8 weeks. After completing the training, they will be dispatched to a total of 16 countries including Ecuador, Cambodia, Indonesia, and so on.
Sunhee Lee(in the picture above) is looking forward to leaving for the 3rd dispatch. She completed the volunteering service for last 6 years as a KOICA volunteer. Sunhee Lee feels rewarded helping Uzbekistan students learn Korean while volunteering at Samarkand College of Foreign Languages in Uzbekistan. Her goal and dream in ‘volunteer work’ is to leave no regret or lingering attachment’, which makes her put utmost efforts in helping others.
