Dominican Republic Secures New Growth Engine through
KOICA(Korea International Cooperation Agency), a government-funded agency in charge of providing grant aid programs, held a welcome ceremony for 18 people engaging in the Dominican Republic’s industrial and academic sectors.
Trainees were organized by important figures in the field of science and technology including Pedro Eduardo Gutierrez under the Institution of Higher Education, Miguel Palmers under the Ministry of Industry, Carlos Artilez under the Ministry of Education, etc.
This is the second ‘Study Tour’ to Korea proceeded as part of the KOICA’s project for Human Resource Development for Science and Technology in Dominican Republic (2015-2018/US $4 million). The project is supported by the KAIST(Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology).
During the study tour, KOICA will provide field trips and professional lectures, and support the trainees to establish actions plans that can be practically applied to their industry after return.
