KOICA and Korea Eximbank Chiefs Show Strong Will to Cooperate in
Supporting Partner Countries
Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) President Mikyung Lee discussed ways to strengthen partnerships between grant-type assistance and credit-type assistance with the Korea Export-Import Bank Chairman Sungsoo Eun at Shilla Hotel in Jangchoong-dong.
KOICA and Korea Eximbank have strived together to enhance effectiveness of development projects and programs and to create synergy through linkage between two agencies.
As of 2017, two agencies have completed 44 projects in a total of 21 countries. In order to promote closer cooperation, they hold 6 regular conferences annually and arrange coworking at overseas offices and exchange and mutual training of employees.
KOICA President Mikyung Lee stated her will to follow the basic rules of the international development cooperation of the Korean government and work closely with the Korea E ximbank to promote sustainable development and mutual growth of developing countries.
In the meanwhile, KOICA and Korea Eximbank completed 8 times of high-level and working-level discussions this year and are planning to implement 10 more projects in 7 partner countries together.
