KOICA Holds Entrance Ceremony for 6th KMCO
Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the lead Korean government agency dedicated to providing grant aid programs, held an entrance ceremony for the ‘6th KOICA Multilateral Cooperation Officer, KMCO’ in the World Friends Seoul Education Center on January 5.
Until January 9, 8 of them will receive theoretical education on understanding of international development cooperation and related issues, KOICA strategies and so on. In addition, they will have lectures on other cases of dispatch and country information to enhance the understanding of their works.
After completing the domestic education, the 6th KMCO will be sent to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) located in a total of 8 countries including Ghana, Nepal, Mozambique, Myanmar, Vietnam, Jordan, Uganda and Tanzania.
KOICA strives to strengthen the network between KOICA and other international organizations by dispatching Koreans with expertise in international development cooperation to international organizations. We also provide job opportunities to those who want to advance into international organizations. Since October 2013, we sent a total of 43 people and are planning to send 8 more this year.
