Korea-Vietnam Friendship IT College Project

KOICA conducts the Vietnamese Manager-level Study visits for the Korea-Vietnam Friendship IT College Project

As a part of preparation stage of the Project for Establishment of the Korea-Vietnam Friendship IT College in Danang city of Vietnam, KOICA IT Cooperation Team will conduct the Manager-level Study Visit program for 11 Vietnamese Officials led by Director General Lai of Ministry of Post and Telematics on March 25th through April 2nd , 2004 in Seoul, Korea.
The basic agreement on the Project was made during the Vietnamese Prime Minister¡¯s visit to Seoul, Korea, and meeting with the President of Korea in September 2003. On behalf of the Korean government, KOICA will consecutively provide grant aid totaling 10 million USD for establishment of the IT education college, including provision of related equipment & materials, and transfer of operation technology & know-how for over three year span.
This study visit program aims to help Vietnamese trainees accumulate both invaluable knowledge and experience of the current operation system and IT education practice/trend in the Korean IT industry. Furthermore, this would eventually lead to the improvement in the operational capability of the Project.

In addition to the study program in hand, number of cultural activities are scheduled, as these include visits to Korean Markets & the historic site and observance of Korean modern arts which will be provided to the participants in means of promoting wider understanding of Korean culture & society.

Subsequently, the successful implementation and completion of the Project promises to reinforce the cooperation in the IT sector and friendship between our two countries.
