KOICA conducts a training program on "Communication Infra-structure & Internet Spread for CLMV" for 14attendees from 4countries as a part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2005 as follows:

▣ Period : June 24 ~ July 7, 2004 (14 days)

▣ Venue : Seoul & Daejeon

▣ Number of Participants : 14 Persons from 4 countries
Cambodia 4, Laos 3, Myanmar 4, Vietnam 3

▣ Training Institute : KT TNL (KT Telecommunication Network Laboratory)

The environments of information technologies (IT) have rapidly changed in recent years. Now, the well-organized IT infra-structure of a country is a basic power for the prosperity and the welfare of people. Therefore IT technology is one of the key factors and the important issues in the modern society.

This training course aims to understand essential technologies towards information society based on KT's experience and state-of-the-art. Also, the training course will help participants acquire ability of planning and maintaining IT infrastructure. Furthermore, participants can apply this knowledge for planing, IP based network design and construction for their nation.

In order to help participants have better understanding on Korea and its lifestyle, KOICA will offer them a variety of additional socio-cultural programs such as Seoul City Tour and Home visiting program, etc.
