KOICA conducts a training program "Workshop on Advanced Vocational Training for Vietnamese Instructors (Vietnam)" for 14 participants from Vietnam as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

o Course Title : Workshop on Advanced Vocational Training for Vietnamese Instructors(Vietnam)

o Duration : March 14 - April 3, 2010 (21 days)

o Venue : Chungbuk, Korea

o Number of Participants : 14 Participants from Vietnam

o Training Institution : The Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry

o Training Participants

- Vocational training instructors and administrators with sound experience in related field

o Course Objectives

 a) be introduced to Korea's vocational education and training policy, history and
     management system

 b) learn information related to establishing VET policies and systems and operating  
     vocational training

 c) give presentations for workshops and seminars on Teaching Learning Methodology and
     Industry-School Cooperation

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

A. LECTURES

1. Technical qualification testing and certification

2. DACUM (Develop A Curriculum)

3. SMEs of vocational training consortium,

4. IT teaching methodology

5. Development for e-learning educational course, etc

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

 a) General description of common status in the participant's country:

   - General information and socio-economic condition of the country  

   - Status of HRDs in VET center in the participant's country

 b) Current status of Vocational Training field in her/his job at the organization:

   - Brief description of the participant's organization/institute/school (Vision, mission,

     objectives, history, major activities)

   - Organizational structure and functions

    - Programs/projects of VET center development plan (objectives, strategies,

      activities, people involved, duration, budget, etc.)

    - Policies on HRDs in Vocational Training field

 c) About Participants

    - Present position and responsibilities in the organization/ institution/ school

    - Expectations to this training program

- ETRI, KOREA POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE in Dae-Jeon, National Science Museum, etc.

- POSCO, Hyundai Motors, SK Energy, etc.
