KOICA conducts a training program "Hospital Management and Health Policy(Laos)" for 15 participants from Laos as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

o Course Title : Hospital Management and Health Policy(Laos)

o Duration : March 18(Thu.) April 3(Sat.), 2010(17 days)

o Venue : Seongnam & Seoul, Korea

o Number of Participants : 15 Persons from Laos

o Training Institution : Korean Hospital Association (KHA)

- Managers or Directors with sound experience in healthcare

o Course Objectives

1) To introduce Korea¡¯s healthcare management skills and policies

2) To research the most systematic and practical management strategies through
    reviewing on the best practices in Korean healthcare management and its policies

3) To strengthen the relationship between Korea and Laos by exchanging skills and

    experiences in healthcare management and its policies.

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

A. LECTURES

a) Module I : Overview of Korean Health Care System

b) Module II : Understanding of Korean Health Care System

c) Module III : Experience of Hospital Management in Korea

B. Country Report

- Current Status and Issues of Healthcare System and Hospitals in Laos

- 1st Meeting : Problem Identification / Discussion

- 2nd Meeting : Presentation / Action Planning

C.STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION
