KOICA conducts a training program "Small and Medium Enterprises and Economic Development" for 16 participants from 8 countries as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

o Course Title : Small and Medium Enterprises and Economic Development

o Duration : March 21 - April 10, 2010 (21 days)

o Venue : Seongnam and Ansan city, Korea

o Number of Participants : 16 Participants from 8 countries

  - Ethiopia 2, Ghana 2, Kenya 2, Sudan 2, Tanzania 2, Nigeria 2, Zambia 2,

   Zimbabwe 2,  

o Training Institution : Small & Medium Business Training Institute

o Training Participants

- National or Local government officials, preferably middle manager, engaged in the field

  of SME promotion and economic development

o Course Objectives

- To enhance participants overall knowledge about Korea's economic development and

   SME polices

- To share the experience in developing the ecomony

- To enhance participants overall knowledge about the roles of Korean SMEs

3. Development of agricultural industry and economic development  

4. Financial and capital procurement for SMEs

5. Tax system for SMEs promotion
