Expert Training for Educational Policy Development

KOICA conducts a training program "Expert Training for Educational Policy Development" for 17 participants from 9 countries as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Expert Training for Educational Policy Development

o Duration : April 11 - April 29, 2010 (19 days)

o Venue : Seongnam and Seoul, Korea

o Number of Participants : 17 Participants from 9 countries

 - Cambodia 2, East Timor 1, Egypt 2, Ethiopia 2, Indonesia 2, Myanmar 2, Nepal 2,

   Nigeria 2, Vietnam 2

o Training Institution : Korean Educational Development Institute

 

o Training Participants

- National or local government officials, engaged in educational policy making in the

  Ministry of Education or relevant organizations

 

o Course Objectives

- To introduce Korea¡¯s development experience in education

- To inform recent educational policy issues in Korea

- To provide policy implications for participants¡¯ countries

- To set up sector-based action plans for promoting the development of national education

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

1. The Roles of Educational Think Tank in the Trajectories of Korean Educational Development    

2. National Development Strategy and Education Policy   

3. Universalization of Elementary and Secondary Education

4. Universalization of Tertiary Education   

5. Informatization of Education: ICT Use in Education   

6. Vocational Education and Training in the Process of Industrialization    

7. Efficient Management of Education Finance    

8. Curriculum and Textbook Policy   

9. Teacher Policy

 

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

a) National Development Strategy and Education Policy in your country

b) Major Educational Policy Priorities and Concerns

c) Desired Cooperation with Korea
