Healthcare Policy and Program Management for Asian Countries

KOICA conducts a training program "Healthcare Policy and Program Management for Asian Countries" for 20 participants from 10 Countries as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Healthcare Policy and Program Management for Asian Countries

o Duration :April 18 (Sun) - May 8 (Sat), 2010 (21 days)

o Venue : Seoul , Korea

o Number of Participants : 20 Participants from 10 Countries

                           East Timor(2), Laos (2), Nepal (2), Philippines (2), Vietnam (2),

                           Cambodia (3), Sri Lanka (2), Bangladesh (2), Pakistan (2), China (1)

o Training Institution : Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare

o Beneficiaries :

 - National or local Government, preferably executive officers, engaged in the field of

   healthcare Policy and Program Management

 

o Course Objectives

 - To review the Korean Healthcare policy, program management

 - To identify the current status of healthcare policy in Asian countries, and to discuss

   practical approaches in the application of healthcare policy and program management

 - To contribute policies and strategies for health improvement in Asian countries

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

 

  A. LECTURES

   - Korean healthcare system

   - Korean health security system

   - Korean health plan 2020

   - Korean healthcare policy

   - Communicable Disease Control and Surveillance Program in Korea etc.

   - National Cancer Control Program. etc.

 

  B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

   - Status of Establishment of DB related to Vehicle in the home country

   - Government interventions in vehicle inspection

 

  C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

   - Yangju city Public health center-Public health subcenter-Primary healthcare post

   - Korea Centers for Communicable Disease Control and Prevention

   - National Cancer Center

   - Hyundai Motors etc.
