Immigration Service Management

KOICA conducts a training program "Immigration Service Management" for 14 participants from 6 countries as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Immigration Service Management

o Duration : May 13 - May 28, 2010 (16 days)

o Venue : Yong-in & Seongnam,Korea

o Number of Participants : 14 Participants from 6 countries

 - Cambodia 2, Laos 2, Myanmar 2, Tanzania 4, Uzbekistan 2, Vietnam 2

o Training Institution : Legal Research and Training Institute (LRTI)

 

o Training Participants

- National or local government officials, preferably middle manager, engaged in the field  

  of immigration

 

o Course Objectives

- Understand the importance of the roll of the immigration service management on the

  international migration

- Provide various information of the immigration service management of Republic of

   Korea

- Seek appropriate steps to resolve problems and set up a fairer and more effective

   immigration service management system in each country

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

 

A. LECTURES

1. International Migration and International Cooperation

2. Social Integration with foreigners

3. Management of migrated foreigners

4. Inspection of Entry and Exit

5. Refugee Policy

 

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

a) Recent Policy on foreigners and its characteristics

b) Policy on social integration of foreigners

c) Plans on cooperation with RepublicofKorearegardingImmigrationmanagement

 

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- Incheon Airport Immigration Service Center, Hwasung Foreigners¡¯ Shelter, Samsung

  Electronics, Everland Amusement Park, etc

- Busan Immigration Center, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Motors Co.,

  Gyeongju City Tour, etc

- Gyeongbok Palace, National Folk Museum, N-Seoul Tower, Watch a Non-Verbal

  Performance 'NANTA', Insadong, Namdaemun Market, Yoo's Family, etc.
