Adavanced Tax Administration

KOICA conducts a training program "Advanced Tax Administration" for 19 participants from 10 Countries as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Adavanced Tax Administration

o Duration : May 27 - June 11, 2010 (16 days)

o Venue : Seongnam and Seoul, Korea

o Number of Participants : 19 persons from 10 Countries

- Indonesia(2), Cambodia(2), Laos(2), Myanmar(2), Nigeria(1), Senegal(2), Kenya(2),

  Palestine(2), Uzbekistan(2), Kyrgyzstan(1), Turkmenistan(1)

 

o Training Institution : Legal Research and Training Institute

o Training Participants

- National Tax Officials in in Participating Countries

o Course Objectives

- To provide participants with the opportunity to examine and evaluate Korean tax

   administrations as well as Korea¡¯s experiences and strategies in tax administration;

- To provide an international forum through which participants can share both the participating

   countries¡¯developments in tax administration and their responses to current challenges

- To strengthen friendly relations between the participating countries

 

o The program consists of 3 parts;

A. LECTURES

1. Overview of Korean Taxation System

2. Tax Administration of Korea

3. e-Tax of Korea

 

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

a) Country Profile and Tax Administration System Background

b) Current Status and Operation of Tax Administration System

c) A description of the current challenges and responses in Tax Administration System in the

    participating country

 

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- National Tax Officials Training Institute, NTS Customer Satisfaction Center, etc

- Hyundai Motors, SK Energy, LG Electronics Co.

- N-Seoul Tower, Gyeongbok Palace, etc.
