KOICA conducts a invitation program "Partnership Building with Afghanistan Parwan Province Leaders" for 21 participants from Afghanistan as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Partnership Building with Afghanistan Parwan Province Leaders

o Duration : June 7 ~ June 16, 2010 (10 days)

o Venue : Seoul & Seongnam, Korea

o Number of Participants : 21 Participants from Afghanistan

o Training Institution : Korea International Cooperation Agency

 

o Training Participants

- an official governors or community leaders of Parwan Province, Afghanistan

 

o Course Objectives

- To promote better understanding and more friendly relations between Korea and Afghanistan

- To introduce various experiences and economic development strategy focused on

   post-Korean War

- To advance participant¡¯s knowledge and comprehension of Korean society, culture and history

- To discuss the way for effective development cooperation between Korea & Afghanistan

 

o The program consists of 2 parts ;

 

A. LECTURES

1. Introduction on Korea's ODA & Afghan PRT Project

2. Experiences and Strategies of Korean Economy

3. Saemaul Movement's Theory and Local Development

4. An Overview of e-Government in Korea

5. Human Resources Development Strategy for National Development

 

B. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- Rural Development Administration, Saemaul Undong Central Training Institute, Kookmin

   Institute for Strategic Governance, Local Government Officials Development Institute, etc.

- Samsung D'light Exhibition Hall, Hyundai Motor Company, Hyundai Heavy Industries,

   Korea Polytechnic, etc.

- Seoul World-cup Stadium, Nanta Performance, N Seoul Tower, Nurimaru APEC House etc.
