KOICA conducts a training program "Crime "Prevention" for 22 participants from 12 countries as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Crime Prevention

o Duration : June 10 - July 3, 2010 (24 days)

o Venue : Seongnam & Asan city, Korea

o Number of Participants : 22 Participants from 12 countries

 - Djibouti(2), Ecuador(1), Egypt(2), El Salvador(2), Ethiopia(2), Guatemala(2),

   Kenya(1), Lebanon(2), Nigeria(2), Pakistan(2), Philippines(2), Yemen(2)

 

o Training Institution : Police Training Institute, National Police Agency

 

o Training Participants

- Government officials, or police officers, preferably senior level staff

 

o Course Objectives

 - To share the experience of the Korean National Police

 - To teach how to deal with crime and how to prevent it in advance

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

 

A. LECTURES

1. Introduction of Police in Korea

2. Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED)

3. Public Relation for Crime Prevention

4. Police Activity in Korea, etc.

 

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

a) General condition of present police

b) Organization of police education

 

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

 - KNPA Cyber-Terror Action Center , KNPA CSI Center, KNPA Museum, Samsung

   Delight, etc.

 - Hyundai Motors Co., Hyundai Heavy Industries, APEC House, Busan Coast Guard

   Police Station, etc.

 - Korean Folk Village, Insadong, N-Seoul Tower, Gyeongbok Palace, Non-verbal

   performance "NANTA", etc.
