KOICA conducts a training program "Forensic Science Investigation" for 20 participants from 12 countries as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Forensic Science Investigation

o Duration : June 10 - June 25, 2010 (16 days)

o Venue : Seoul and Seongnam, Korea

o Number of Participants : 20 Participants from 12 countries

 - Cameroon 2, Ethiopia 1, Kenya 1, Kyrgyzstan 1, Lebanon 2, Maldives 1, Nigeria 2,

    Pakistan 3, Philippines 2, Somalia 1, Yemen 2, Zimbabwe 2

o Training Institution : Korea Police Investigation Academy

 

o Training Participants

- Police Officers (above the rank of Senior Inspector or Major ¤ý the rank of the Team

   Leader should be more than Superintendent General or Brigadier General)

 

o Course Objectives

- To share the experience of Korean National Police

- The Development of Scientific Investigation by learning from the Korean National Police

   experience

- Relationship improvement among the Korean National Police and the participating countries¡¯

   Police, enforcing crime prevention against Korean residents within the mutual cooperation

   against international crime

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

3. Violence crime investigation

4. Interview & Interrogation    

5. Cybercrime Investigation Technigues  

6. Korean Police Scientific Investigation /Criminal Scene  investigation Practice

7. Criminal Profiling (Behavior Analysis)   

8. Introduction of the N.I.S.I and An Introduction to Forensic medicine

9. DNA Profiling

10. Crisis Negotiation  

 

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

a) Current General Conditions of the Police

b) Current Police Education Institutions

 

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- KNPA Cyber Terror Response Center, Bangbae Police Station,  National Institute of Scientific

   Investigation, etc
