Construction Sites Safety Control (Iraq)

KOICA conducts a training program "Construction Sites Safety Control (Iraq)" for 20 participants from Iraq as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Construction Sites Safety Control (Iraq)

o Duration : June 24 - July 10, 2010 (17 days)

o Venue : Seongnam city, Korea

o Number of Participants : 20 Participants from Iraq

 

o Training Institution : Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency

 

o Training Participants

- Government officials or related engineers with sound experience in the accident prevention

   at the construction sites

 

o Course Objectives

- To obtain general understanding of Korea¡¯s policies on occupational safety and health at the

   construction industry through attending international conference, lecture and field visit ;

- To help participants improve their skills in the field of occupational safety and health at the

   construction sites of Iraq

 

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

 

A. LECTURES

a) Session I : Occupational Safety and Health Act of Korea

b) Session II : Ensuring OSH at the Small Construction Sites

c) Session III : Safety on the Bridge Construction

d) Session IV : Seoul Declaration on Safety and Health at Work

e) Session ¥´: Fall Prevention

f) Session ¥µ : Construction Machine Safety

g) Session ¥¶ : Safety on Temporary Work

h) Session ¥· : Safety on Excavation Work

i) Session ¥¸ : Danger and Hazard Prevention plan

j) Session ¥¹: Risk Assessment

k) Session ¥¹I : Occupational Safety and Health Management System

 

 PRACTICUM

a) Session ¥°: Virtual Reality Construction Training

b) Session II : Construction Safety Simulation Training

 

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

a) OSH policy of Iraq

b) Legal framework on Occupational Safety and Health

c)OSH Statistic

 

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- Construction Site, Exhibition Hall for OSH

- POSCO, Hyundai, Hyundai Motors Co., Gyeongju Historical Site

- Korean Folk Village, N-Seoul Tower, Gyeongbok Palace, etc.
