Public Sector Training Development (Iraq KRG)

KOICA conducts a training program "Public Sector Training Development (Iraq KRG)" for 20 participants from Iraq KRG as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Public Sector Training Development (Iraq KRG)

o Duration :July 3  (Sat.) - July 18 (Sun.), 2010 (16 days)

o Venue : Seongnam & Suwon, Korea

o Number of Participants :20 Participants from Iraq KRG

o Training Institution : Local Government Officials Development Institute

o Beneficiaries :

 - Irag KRG officials, preferably middle manager and the above, engaged in the field of

   Human Resource Management

 

o Course Objectives

 - To introduce Korean government training system and policy

 - To assist Iraq KRG in the capacity building of senior government officials

 - To promote better understanding and more friendly relations between Korea and Iraq KRG.

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

 

  A. LECTURES

   - Overview of Korean Development Experiences

   - Understanding of Korean HRD Policies

   - Understanding of Korean Transparency Policies

   - Korea¡¯s Anti-corruption Efforts and Policies for Enhancing National Transparency

   - Regulatory Reform Policy in Korea etc.

 

  B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on     

   - Brief introduction of the implementing organization (ministry, department or particular unit).

   - Background of the case: Issues and Problems

   - Role of the stakeholders (participants) in the policy agenda-setting and implementation process

   - Critical success factors (CSF) and major obstacles

 

  C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

   - The Anti-corruption & Civil Rights

   - Saemaul Undong Memorial Hall

   - Human Resources Development Service of Korea

   - Hyundai Heavy Industries

   - Hyundai Motors

   - POSCO

   - Samsung Electronics
