KOICA conducts a training program ¡°Energy Planning and Development(Jordan)" for 15 participants from Jordan as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

o Course Title : Energy Planning and Development(Jordan)

o Duration : July 10 - August 1, 2010 (23 days)

o Venue : Daejeon, Korea

o Number of Participants : 15 Participants from Jordan  

o Training Institution : Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute

o Training Participants

 - Government officials or engineers with experience in the field  

o Course Objectives

 - To provide middle level managers or technical professionals of the country considering
    introducing their first or a new nuclear power plant with information of practical elements

 - To develop ideas on the international trends and energy technology while forecasting

    future energy developments

 - To discuss energy policies and trends and its possible cooperation between Korea and Jordan  

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

A. LECTURES

- National policies of energy development

- Nuclear power technology

- National policy from legal and regulatory aspects

- Planning and implementation of a nuclear power project management  

B. STUDY VISITS & 3-DAY FIELD TRIP

- KAERI research reactor (HANARO)

- Doosan : Major components manufacturing company

- Kori nuclear power plant

- Wolsung nuclear power plants

- Hyundai motors company  

C. CULTURAL EXCURSION

- Cultural sights in Seoul, Gyeongju and PaeJae city
