KOICA conducts a training program "Planning and Implementation of Educational Policy(Pakistan)" for 13 participants from Pakistan as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

o Course Title : Planning and Implementation of Educational Policy(Pakistan)

o Duration : July 25 (Sunday) ~ August 21 (Saturday), 2010(28days)

o Venue : Seoul, Korea

o Number of Participants : 13 participants from Pakistan

o Training Institution : Seoul National University of Education (SNUE)

o Training Participants

- Pakistan government officers, researchers, school inspectors, principals,
   vice-principals and teachers (with at least 3 year-career in education sector) who wish to
   foster understanding and practical knowledge of planning and implementation of
   educational policy

o Course Objectives

- To review the Korean Health & Communicable Disease Control Policy, administration

   and services

- To identify the current status of CDC, and to discuss practical approaches in the

   application of Korean CDC strategies

- To contribute policies and strategies for quality improvement in SAARC's CDC

- to design and actualize successful exchanges and collaboration between Pakistan

   and Korean educators

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

2. Current status and policies of Korean education

3. Educational System in Korea

4. Educational Administration and Finance in Korea

5. Learning and Teaching in Korea

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

a) Brief introduction of the country and organization represented by the participants

b) Educational system of the country

c) Current issues and challenges in education

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- Attached elementary school, Gukak National High School, Korea Institute of Counseling

   and education, Education Broadcasting System, etc

- POSCO, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Motors Co.

- Worldcup stadium, N-Seoul Tower, Gyeongbok Palace, etc.
