KOICA conducts a training program "New Village Movement (Bolivia)" for 13 participants from Bolivia as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

o Course Title : New Village Movement (Bolivia)

o Duration : August 18 - September 1, 2010 (15 days)

o Venue : Seongnam and Wonju city, Korea

o Number of Participants : 14 Participants from Bolivia

o Training Institution : Canaan Global Agricultural Leadership Center

o Course Objectives

- Mindset movement which is the fundamental foundation for development of the

   Korean society in 70s and 80s

- Lifestyle in which the spirits of diligence, thrift and sharing are fused together

- Practice for environment-friendly organic farming in farms of 165 square kilometers

- Education in three domains: mindset training, lifestyle & practical education,

  theoretical education

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

A. LECTURES

1. Mindset Education

    - Spirit of Sharing, Spirit of Pioneering

2. Practical Education

    - Farming Practice, Organic Poultry, Leadership Skills

3. Lifestyle Education

    - Reflecting Myself, Relationship, Home Discipline

4. Theoretical Education

    - Community Development, Patriotism, Economic Development, New Village Movement,

      Case Study of Agricultural Success, Appropriate Technology, Anti-Corruption

B. WORKSHOP

All the participants will have a workshop evaluating Canaan spirit and life including this session.

They will have chances to meet the leaders of Wonju city and the important business men and

high officials in Korea.

C. STUDY VISITS, FIELD TRIPS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- N-Seoul Tower, Gyeongbok Palace, Insadong, The War Memorial of Korea etc.
