KOICA conducts a training program "Educational Policy Development for Gender Equality" for 22 participants from 11 countries as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2010 as follows:

o Course Title : Educational Policy Development for Gender Equality

o Duration : Aug 19 - Sep 1, 2010 (14 days)

o Venue : Seongnam and Seoul, Korea

o Number of Participants : 22 Participants from 11 countries

o Training Institution : Korean Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education

o Training Participants

- National or local government officials and experts, preferably at division chief level

  who are currently involved in education policies

o Course Objectives

- To introduce Korea's development and Korean women's role in development;

- To introduce Korea's education system and policies to achieve gender equal development

   and to share strategies to improve women's status;

- To develop ideas on international cooperation for promoting education for all

a) Current Situation of Education for Girls and Women of the Participating Country

b) Gender Issues in Education

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION
