KOICA conducts a training program "Vocational Training Policy and Implementation (Laos)" for 21 participants from Laos as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2012 as follows:

o Course Title : Vocational Training Policy and Implementation (Laos)

o Duration : June 24 (Sun.) ~ July 14 (Sat.), 2012 (21days)

o Venue : Seongnam and Seoul city, Korea

o Number of Participants : 21 Participants from Laos

o Training Institution : The Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry

o Training Participants

- Deputy heads and Director generals in the related field

o Course Objectives

- To understand Korea's vocational training policy and system operations and its

   impact on Korea's economy

- To derive improvement by comparing it with the participating country's

   vocational training system

- To benchmark a successful case of Korea's vocational training operating techniques

   and industry cooperation by learning various skills and know-how

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

A. LECTURES

a) Module I: Overview pf Korean vocational training policy

b) Module II: Understanding of Advanced Methodology

c) Module III: Workshops for Successful Strategy of vocational training development of Laos

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

a) History and Overview of Vocational Training Policy of Laos

b) Current Status of Vocational Training Conducting of Laos

c) Current status of Job placement and Post-guidance after Vocational Training of Laos

d) Vocational Training Insurance

e) Advantages and Disadvantages of Vocational Training System of Laos

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- Samsung Electronics, KRIVET (Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training)

- National Folk Museum, N-Seoul Tower, Gyeongbok Palace etc.
