KOICA conducts a training program "Capacity Building on Local Administration (Uganda)" for 20 participants from Indonesa as a part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2012 as follows:

o Course Title: Capacity Building on Local Administration (Uganda)

o Duration: June 21 (Thu.) ~ July 11 (Wed.), 2012

o Venue: Seongnam & Seoul, Korea

o Number of Participants: 20 persons from Uganda

o Training Participants:    

Senior officials who are involved in the field of local administration

o Language: English

o Training Institute: Local Government Officials Development Institute (LOGODI)

o Accommodations: KOICA International Cooperation Center (ICC)

o Course Objectives:

1) To provide the vision and strategy for the development of Uganda by sharing Korea's

    experiences in local governance, local economic development, regional development, HRD, etc.

2) To assist Uganda in the capacity building of local government officials

3) To promote a better understanding and more friendly relations between Korea and Uganda

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

A. LECTURE TOPICS

- Local Economic Development

- Overview of Korean Development Experiences

- Understanding Korean Strategy for Future Development

- Seminar for Best Practices Presentation

B. STUDY VISITS

- Ministry of Public Administration and Security, Human Resources Development
