[Health]Capacity Building for Health Workforce (Myanmar)

KOICA conducts a training program "Capacity Building for Myanmar Health Workforce" for 3 participants from Myanmar as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2012 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Capacity Building for Myanmar Health Workforce

o Duration : June 17 - Aug 15, 2012 (60 days)

o Venue : Seongnam and Seoul, Korea

o Number of Participants : 3 Participants from Myanmar

o Training Institution : Seoul National University Hospital

 

o Training Participants

- Medical Officer from Yangon Hospital and Yangon Children`s Hospital

 

o Course Objectives

- Strengthen medical training, research, and treatment capacity of Myanmar

   health-related personnel.

- Transfer cutting-edge technological development in medical field and advanced Korean

   medical system to the participants.

- Set up basic infrastructure of the training program for overseas medical

   professionals in the long term.

- Contribute to building on the participants’ experiences as medical professionals.

- Enhance health status of participants’ regional community after returning to

   their home country.

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

 

A. LECTURES

1. Role and Function of Public Medical Service

2. Management of Infectious Disease

3. Global Health

4. Decision Making on Evidence Based Advocacy Strategies

 

B. PARTICIPATING in

a) Clinical Training

b) Public Health Medical Service Activities

 

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, Boramae Hospital, Raphael Clinic.

- Gyeongju Historical Sites, Andong Cultural Heritages.

- Gyeongbok Palace, Namsan Hanok Village, Myeongdong Global Center, etc.
