KOICA conducts a training program "Capacity Building for Myanmar Health Workforce" for 3 participants from Myanmar as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2012 as follows:

o Course Title : Capacity Building for Myanmar Health Workforce

o Duration : June 17 - Aug 15, 2012 (60 days)

o Venue : Seongnam and Seoul, Korea

o Number of Participants : 3 Participants from Myanmar

o Training Institution : Seoul National University Hospital

o Training Participants

- Medical Officer from Yangon Hospital and Yangon Children`s Hospital

o Course Objectives

- Strengthen medical training, research, and treatment capacity of Myanmar

   health-related personnel.

- Transfer cutting-edge technological development in medical field and advanced Korean

   medical system to the participants.

- Set up basic infrastructure of the training program for overseas medical

   professionals in the long term.

- Contribute to building on the participants¡¯ experiences as medical professionals.

- Enhance health status of participants¡¯ regional community after returning to

   their home country.

3. Global Health

4. Decision Making on Evidence Based Advocacy Strategies

B. PARTICIPATING in

- Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, Boramae Hospital, Raphael Clinic.

- Gyeongju Historical Sites, Andong Cultural Heritages.

- Gyeongbok Palace, Namsan Hanok Village, Myeongdong Global Center, etc.
