KOICA conducts a training program "Partnership Program for Diplomats(Gabon)as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2012 as follows:

o Course Title : Partnership Program for Diplomats(Gabon)

o Duration : June 28 - Ju;y 14 , 2012 (17 days)

o Venue : Seongnam&Seoul, Korea

o Number of Participants : 7 Participants from Gabon

o Training Institution : International Exchange Promotion Association

o Training Participants

-Be junior level government officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

-Have good communication skills in English and the ability to participate in this course

-Preference for those in charge of Korea or an Asian desk  

-Not have participated in the same KOICA training program during the past three(3) years

o Course Objectives

-To share how Korea has been developed in field of Economic, Politics and Social

-To provide a deeper knowledge regarding Korea for mutual understanding

-To seek ways on how to build our partnership further and cooperate in the future

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

2.Korea Odyssey: People, History and Culture

3.Origins of Korean¡¯s Development from Historical Approach

4.Cooperation with Korea and Gabon

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

-General Information and Overview of Gabon

-Main Issues and challenges in its society

-Relationship with Korea in the past, present and future

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

-Jeonju Hanok Village, Hyundai Motors in Asan, POSCO  

-National Assembly Hall, N-Seoul Tower, Gyeongbok Palace, etc.
