[Health]Health Policy and Program Management (Rwanda)

KOICA conducts a Fellowship Program "Health Policy and Program Management (Rwanda)" for 7 participants from Rwanda as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2012 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Health Policy and Program Management (Rwanda)

o Duration : July 9 - July 28, 2012 (20 days)

o Venue : Osong & Seongnam, Korea

o Number of Participants : 7 Participants from Rwanda

o Training Institution : Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare

 

o Training Participants

- National or Local Government officials, preferably middle manager, engaged in the field of

  Health policy and health program and HIV/AIDS Control committee for at least 3 years,

  holding a Bachelor’s degree

 

o Course Objectives

- To help improve the health status of Rwanda by sharing Korea’s successes and failures,

   in their experiences in the Health system and communicable disease control, using

   lecture & discussion, study visit, workshop, field trip

- To contribute to the improvement of health in terms of communicable disease

   (including, HIV/AIDS, TB)

- To plan the implementation with relation to health systems and organization through workshops.

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

 

A. LECTURES

1. Healthcare System of Korea

2. Infection Control Policy of Korea

3. HIV/AIDS Inspection & Prevention Control

4. Current status of TB

5. Prevention and Management of Malaria

6. Infectious disease control at Primary healthcare post

7. Parasite control and ODA project in Korea

8. International Health Cooperation

9. Leadership and Organization Administration

 

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

a) Major Issues of your interest related to Healthcare

 

 

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- CDC & NIH, Chungbuk Research institute of Public Health & Environment, Samaul

   Undong hal, etc

- Doosan Heavy Industry, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Motors Co.

- T-um, N-Seoul Tower, Gyeongbok Palace, etc.
