KOICA conducts a Fellowship Program "SMEs Promotion (Paraguay) " for 13 participants from Paraguay country as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2012 as follows:

o Course Title : SMEs Promotion (Paraguay)

o Duration : July 12 ~ July 28, 2012 (17 days)

o Venue: Seongnam and Samnye, Korea

o Number of Participants : 13 Participants from Paraguay

o Training Institution : Woosuk University

o Training Participants

- High level of government officials in the related field

o Course Objectives :

- To identify the current status of SMEs in Paraguay and to discuss practical approaches or

   solutions in the application of Korea¡¯s SMEs development strategies

- To provide information and knowledge of various SME supporting system of relative institutions

o The program consists of 3 parts :

A. LECTURES

- Korean SMEs and Promotion Policies

- Vision & Future of the 21st Centry SME

- Promotion of e-business strategy

- Export Support Financial Institutions etc.

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on  

- Brief the Report of Major Issues & Policies of SMEs development such as the compact economic

  status, SMEs overview, SMEs promotion policies and relating issues or problems in Paraguay

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- Small Business Corporation, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, Korea Trade Insurance Corporation,

  Jeonbuk Technopark  etc.

- Korean Traditional Experience : Gyeongbok Palace, National Folk Museum of Korea,

  N Seoul Tower, "MISO" performance etc.
