KOICA conducts a training program "Rural Community Development (Uzbekistan)" for 14 participants from Uzbekistan as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2012 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Rural Community Development (Uzbekistan)

o Duration : Juㅣy 14 (Sat.) ~ July 29 (Sun.), 2012 (16days)

o Venue : Seongnam and Suwon, Korea

o Number of Participants : 14 Participants from Uzbekistan

 - Uzbekistan 14

o Training Institution : Rural development Administration (RDA)

 

o Training Participants

- Chief Specialists and Coordinators in the related field

 

o Course Objectives

- To extend agricultural technologies and business on rural community development

- To provide modern theories, knoweldge and techniques on rural community development

- To share and improve participants' skill and knoweldge through the study of various field activites

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

 

A. LECTURES

a) Module I: Overview of Korean Agriculture

b) Module II: Rural Community Development

c) Module III: Discussion on Rural Development in Uzbekistan

 

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

a) Introduction of Country and Agriculture

b) Recent agricultural Policies and Major projects

c) History of Agricultural Research and Extension

d) Status of Sustainable Agriculture

 

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- Agricultural Exhibition Hall, National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science

- National Folk Museum, N-Seoul Tower, Gyeongbok Palace etc.
