[Governance]Korean Administrative Development (Haiti)

KOICA conducts a training program "Korean Administrative Development (Haiti)" for 15 participants from Haiti as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2012 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Korean Administrative Development (Haiti)

o Duration : July 26 - August 11, 2012 (17 days)

o Venue : Seoul and Seongnam city, Korea

o Number of Participants : 15 Participants from Haiti

 

o Training Institution : Central Officials Training Institute

 

o Training Participants

- Director or higher-level government officials in the related field

 

o Course Objectives

1) To provide useful insight and guideline for high-level officials from Haiti on national development by

    sharing Korea¡¯s national development experience

2) To identify Korea¡¯s national development strategies, and to discuss practical approaches in the

    application of the Korean experience

3) To contribute to development of economic sector in general for Haiti

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

 

A. LECTURES

1. Public Service System & HR Policy in Korea

2. Public Sector Reform and Local Government Innovation

3. Good Governance and Paradigm of Public Administration  

4. Korea¡¯s Economic Development Experiences

5. Action Plan Formulation and Participants¡¯ Presentations  etc.

 

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

a) Improving the Public Service Personnel System

b) Government Reform/Innovation

c) Administrative Systems

d) Territorial & Urban Development

 

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- Gangnam resource recovery center, Ministry of public administration and security,  etc

- POSCO, Samsung Heavy Industries, KIA Motors Co., Yeosu EXPO, Multifunctional administrative city

  construction agency

- Korean Folk Museum, NANTA, N-Seoul Tower, Gyeongbok Palace, etc.
