KOICA conducts a training program "KOICA-HUFS Master's Program in International Development Studies(Comparative Development)¡° as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2012 as follows:

o Course Title : KOICA-HUFS Master's Program in International Development Studies

                       (Comparative Development)

o Duration : July 18, 2012 ~ August 10, 2013 (13 Months)

o Venue : Seoul, Korea

o Number of Participants : 20 Participants from 20 Countries

o Training Institution : Graduate School of International & Area Studies, HUFS

o Training Participants -  Officials in the related field

o Course Objectives

-To contribute to the development of human resources who will play an important role in

  their national development process of developing countries.

-To explore sustainable development models in a comparative perspective.

-To build up the foundation for stronger diplomatic relationship and economic cooperation

  with developing countries.

o The program consists of 2 parts ;

A. WHAT TO STUDY

-To get a full understanding of theories in International development studies

-To develop their own nation¡¯s development model with comparison to Korea¡¯s

  development model

-To conduct research on international cooperative development cases

-To take part in a variety of seminars or special lectures made by the field¡¯s specialists in

  and out of the country

B. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

-Korean Folk Village, Yoo¡¯s Family Experience (BukchonVillage),

 Independence Memorial Hall of Korean Cheonan, DMZ, etc.

-Suwon SamsungElectronics, POSCO, HyundaiMotor,

 HyundaiShipbuilding, SKUlsanOil, Daejeon  Science  Park etc.

- N-Seoul Tower, Gyeongbok Palace, etc.
