Public Sector Management (Rwanda)

KOICA conducts a training program "Public Sector Management (Rwanda)" for 13 participants from Rwanda as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2012 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Public Sector Management (Rwanda)

o Duration : July 26 - August 15, 2012 (21 days)

o Venue : Seongnam & Wonju, Korea

o Number of Participants : 13 Participants from Rwanda

 - Rwanda 13

 

o Training Institution : Institute for Poverty Alleviation and International Development

 

o Training Participants

- Director-level government officials in the related field

 

o Course Objectives

- To share experiences on the establishment and implementation of Korean central and

   municipal public service policies, and to contribute to enhancing a cooperative relationship

   between Rwanda and Korea

- To provide a program consisting of lectures on Korean public service and fiscal systems,

   strategies for transparency enhancement, e-Government, and on-site visits to help solve

   the problems which the Rwandan Government is facing, and improve the effectiveness of

   its fiscal management and administrative transparency

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

1. Public offcial training and Competency Development

2. Global Trends of Administrative Reform and Korean Experience

3. Public Human Resource Policy in Korea

4. Industrial Development Strategy in Korea: Implications for Acclerating Economic

    Development in Rwanda

5. E-Government in Korea, Case studies of Social Welfare Policies in Korean Government

6. Korean Budgeting System and the way of getting transparency

7. National Development and Economic Development

8. Challenges and Prospects of Korea’s ODA

9. African Perspectives on Korea Development

 

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

a) Rwanda's Civil Reform: Goals, Priorities, Strategies

b) Rwanda’s Civil Reform Challenges  

 

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- Ministry of Public Administration and Security, Saemaeul Undong Central Training

   Institute, etc

- POSCO, 2012 Yeosu Expo
