[Governance]Advanced Tax Administration (DR Congo)

KOICA conducts a Fellowship Program "Advanced Tax Administration (DR Congo)" for 15 participants from DR Congo as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2012 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Advanced Tax Administration (DR Congo)

o Duration : August 2 - August 18, 2012 (17 days)

o Venue : Seongnam and Seoul, Korea

o Number of Participants : 15 Participants from DR Congo

o Training Institution : Korea Institute for Development Strategy

 

o Training Participants

- Senior level government officials involved in the fields of Tax Administration and Economic

   and Financial Policies, from Ministries Finance, Budget, etc.

 

o Course Objectives

- To provide participants with the opportunity to experience and evaluate Korean tax

   administration as well as Korea¡¯s experience and strategies in tax administration

- To provide a forum through which participants can share opinions and foster capacity

   building in tax administration and their responses to pending issues as well as current

- To further develop cooperative relations between DR Congo and Korea

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

 

A. LECTURES

1. Tax Policy and Tax Administration of Korea

2. Tax Collecting Process and Tax Administration

3. Korea¡¯s Economic Development and Public HR Policy

 

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

a) DR Congo¡¯s Country Profile

b) DR Congo¡¯s Current State

- Tax Administration in DR Congo

- Tax Audit System in DR Congo

- Management of Taxable Income and Broadening Tax Base in DR Congo

- Current Challenges and Pending Issues facing the Tax Administration

- The Direction of Tax Administration Reform of DR Congo

 

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- NTS Tax museum, National Tax Service, Local Government Officials Development Institute,
   NTS Customer Satisfaction Center, Seongnam District Tax Office, etc

- Public Procurement Service, Dohung Information Network Village, POSCO, Hyundai Heavy

   Industries, Hyundai Motors Co., Gyeongju Historical Sites

- Gyeongbok Palace, National Folk Museum of Korea, N Seoul Tower, MISO, etc.
