[Governance]Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (Colombia)

KOICA conducts a Fellowship Program "Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (Colombia)" for 15 participants from Colombia as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2012 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (Colombia)

o Duration : August 9 - August 25, 2012 (17 days)

o Venue : Asan & Seongnam, Korea

o Number of Participants : 15 participants from Colombia

o Training Institution : Police Training Institute

 

o Training Participants

- Government officials or police officers, preferably senior level staff

 

o Course Objectives

- To share the experience of the Korean National Police

- To teach how to deal with crimes and how to prevent them in advance

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

 

A. LECTURES

1. Crime Prevention in Korea

2. Criminal Justice System in Korea

3. Anticorruption Reform and Integrity Enhancement Strategies

4. Integrated CCTV Control Center』Crime prevention & Response

5. Affairs of collecting evidence by Korean Intelligence Police

 

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

-  Presentation of Country Report by the representative

-  Introduction of the population, the area, climate and the key industries of the nation

-  The current states and strategies of crime prevention

-  General information about the police system

 

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- National Police Agency, NETAN, Cyber Terror Response Center, National

   Institute of Scientific Investigation, the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, etc

- Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motors Co.

- The Independence Hall of Korea, Korean Folk Village, N-Seoul Tower,

   Gyeongbok Palace, etc.
