[Environment]Waste Management & Waste to Energy (Sri Lanka)

KOICA conducts a Fellowship Program "Waste Management & Waste to Energy (Sri Lanka)" for 20 participants from Sri Lanka as part of the Korean government's grant aid and technical cooperation program for 2012 as follows:

 

o Course Title : Waste Management & Waste to Energy (Sri Lanka)

o Duration : September 16 (Sun.) ~ September 29 (Sat.), 2012

o Venue : Incheon & Seongnam, Korea

o Number of Participants : 20 participants from Sri Lanka

o Training Institution : Korea Environment Corporation

 

o Training Participants

- National or local government officials from Sri Lanka, preferably middle manager with sound

  experience in the environmental management field

 

o Course Objectives

1)  To introduce the concept of low carbon green growth and to promote the ideas and ways of doing

2)  To introduce the Korean environmental policies and technologies for waste management &

     waste-to-energy process

 

o The program consists of 3 parts ;

 

A. LECTURES

1. Economic Development Strategy in Korea

2. Green Growth Policies in Korea

3. Waste Management Policy and System

4. Hazardous Waste Management

5. Waste-to-Energy

6. Organic Waste to Resources

 

B. COUNTRY REPORT PRESENTATION on

-  Current status and issues of waste management and laws in your country

-  Government’s organization on environment in your country

 

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

- Experience Green Growth Hall, Cheonggye Stream, Allbaro System etc

- POSCO, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Motors Co.

- Korean Folk Village, N-Seoul Tower, Gyeongbok Palace, etc.
