on human resources, which, Mr Kim affirms, ¡°has allowed its economic takeoff.¡±

resident representative of KOICA says that his country after having sent for
a long time volunteers, wants to stand to a higher step. ¡°Since 1997, we were
only sending volunteers, now we have opened an office in order to make our technical
assistance more effective. When president Wade received the president of KOICA
his Excellency SHIN Jang Bum and his Excellency Ambassador CHOI Dong Hwan, he
identified three priority sectors: agriculture, health and education. These
fields will be invested¡± notes Mr Kim. He assured that the budget assigned
for Senegal "will increase" and that the will to extend the
cooperation in other aspects such as the scientific research and the vocational
training sectors.
"Korea
will do its best to build, in a near future, a vocational training center as
in Algeria, Sudan, Tunisia ", states KIM Sang Chul. During this month of
May, Korea and Senegal signed 3 Record of Discussions (irrigated agriculture,
fish farming and education). Besides that, KOICA sends Senegalese civil servants
